WE CARE Ministry

Bear one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ. — Galatians 6:2

WE CARE extends pastoral care by working in cooperation with our lay leaders. We visit church members who are going through a time of difficulty and share Christ’s love by being there to listen on a weekly or monthly basis for about an hour.

Working with our Elders and our Diaconate, we organize and consolidate pastoral visits under one umbrella group. We provide communion to shut-ins. We also provide confidential, one to one Christian care for when people face a crisis or difficulty, such as the loss of a loved one, hospitalization, illness or loneliness.

Physical and spiritual needs are typically made known to our Deacons and/or Elders. Then WE CARE MINISTRY steps in to help, providing confidential ministry. The identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remains private. Our desire is to manifest the loving heart of our Lord and Savior, Jesus.

Currently the WE CARE MINISTRY also manages our Welcome Team. We provide greeters at both entrance doors. Greeters happily welcome members and visitors. We provide information about RPC and welcome new attendees with a gift bag.
